This is a dry salt scrub.  The problem I had with "wet" or "liquid" salt scrubs were that the salt would melt into the liquid leaving this "goop" with almost zero exfoliation, not to mention almost killing myself in the shower from slipping on it as it oozed out of my hand and down to the bottom of the shower.  If you're like me, you want something that will get down into your skin and remove all those dead skin cells.  This will do it and even gives you the silky undertone of my Liquid Silk Lotion.  Your skin will feel as soft as a baby's afterwards.  Follow up with one of our body butters or Liquid Silk lotions.

Silk Saltz is made using my special blend of Dead Sea Salt and Hawaiian Red Alaea Salt.  The Hawaiian salt is made when red volcanic clay washes down into tide pools during heavy rains.  Upon evaporation, presto, you have Alaea Salt.  It was prized among the Hawaiians and used during sacred rituals and now it is highly priced as a gourmet cooking salt.  Yet, the properties are so wonderful that it works beautifully as a salt scrub.

It works great on heels or places where skin is thick and calloused.

Scents come in Bamboo, Black Tea, Dreamsickle, Mango, Scarlet Castle Rose or just unscented.

I do not recommend this for people with thin or scarred skin (areas that have had recent surgeries), elderly skin or people who are very sensitive.  This is fine grain salt that can tear or scratch the skin causing irritations.  Please use your best judgment with this.  If you like, you may dilute with oil or bath gel to take the edge off.   I have used it in the bathtub with great results.
