Mission Statement

Danaomi Scents was created for those who enjoy a bit of nostalgia.   Not only are most of the products at Danaomi Scents handmade, even my labels are written in my unique calligraphy.  Everything is made from scratch by me.  I go to great lengths to ensure that my products and their ingredients are of the finest quality.  I make small quantities of product and conduct frequent quality controls because I care about my customers' health and safety.  I have worked hard to establish personal relationships with my suppliers and in turn, hope to establish a personal relationship with you.  Also, I look forward to giving you fair prices and I strive to keep them as low as possible without sacrificing quality.  So come and enjoy the magic and beauty that Danaomi Scents has to offer!

Integrity

There are many in the handmade beauty field and in my short time of doing business, have come to know some very beautiful and amazing people in this industry.  I have enjoyed the comaderie and support from those with similar businesses.  By saying this, I like to promote good intentions between business owners and healthy competition.  If there is a product you do not see on the site, please ask and if I cannot obtain it for you, I can refer you to a respected peer who can. 

In saying that, Danaomi Scents sells products for your enjoyment.  We make no specific health claims in regards to product that cannot be backed up by proper research and results experienced by me.  While I do sell 100% Essential Oils, I ask that you take the time to learn the proper usage of these oils.  They should not be used directly on the skin (in certain cases this is okay, but in most, essential oils should be diluted).  I do not recommend oils being taken internally.  If you choose to do so, you do so at your own risk and Danaomi Scents takes no responsibility for your usage. 

Everyone's skin is different.  No one will know your body as well as you do.  As with all products being applied to your body, it is a good idea to conduct a skin patch test on the inside of your forearm to test for any allergic reactions.  Most of the time, health and beauty products are harmless, but some people with sensitive skin, certain allergies (i.e., nut allergies) should take extra precautions to make sure the product will not bother them.  Unfortunately, many people only complain about synthetic ingredients being irritants, however, there are people sensitized and/or allergic to Essential Oils.   Just because a product is made with all natural and/or organic ingredients, does not mean it cannot irritate you the same as a synthetic ingredient.  Please feel free to go to our Links page for further reading if you feel inclined to do so or check out my newsletter page.

I have been practicing aromatherapy and making handmade toiletries since 1996.  I try to stay up-to-date with the latest research in the aromatherapy and handmade toiletry field.  I am very big on people knowing the facts about aromatherapy ingredients as well as warnings and safety issues associated therewith.   Danaomi Scents (Danaomi being the names of her two daughters Danae and Naomi put together) was established because of my passion for essential oils, making beauty products and blending perfume oils.
